Ideal for general dispersion, de-agglomeration and emulsification duties in low to medium viscosity fluid mixing applications where particle and droplet size results in the 2-5 micron range are needed.

Based on the patented Fluid Division Mixing (FDM) geometry, the DCM uses a combination of inter-cavity transfer and high speed hydraulic shear to distribute and disperse.  The number of cavity rows in the rotor and stator parts can be varied to favour energy transfer or throughput, but 3 or 4 rows are used for most applications.  The internal design means that all of the fluid must pass through each cavity row and be involved in the shearing process.  Avoidance of "bypass" allows for much tighter distributions of resulting droplet and particle sizes than would be expected from a conventional high shear mixer.
